Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about clinical hypnotherapy and what to expect.
Is hypnosis safe?
Absolutely. You remain completely aware during the session and cannot be made to do anything against your will. Hypnosis is simply a state of focused attention that allows beneficial suggestions to be accepted by your subconscious mind.
How long does it take to quit smoking with hypnosis?
Our sessions last approximately 60 minutes, and most clients quit smoking in just one session. The change happens during your appointment - you'll walk in as a smoker and leave as a non-smoker.
What if it doesn't work for me?
While our success rate is extremely high, we offer 12 months of free backup support to ensure your success. If you ever feel the need for reinforcement, simply contact us for a follow-up session at no additional cost.
Will I gain weight after quitting smoking?
No. Our method specifically addresses this common concern. We redirect the pleasure you once got from smoking toward healthier habits of your choice, preventing the weight gain often associated with quitting.
Will I experience withdrawal symptoms?
Most clients report minimal or no withdrawal symptoms after our session. This is because we remove the desire to smoke rather than forcing you to resist cravings that still exist.
How does hypnotherapy work for anxiety?
Hypnotherapy addresses anxiety at the subconscious level, where anxious patterns originate. During a session, we work to reframe the triggers and thought patterns that create anxiety, replacing them with calm, confident responses.
Can hypnotherapy help with trauma and PTSD?
Yes. Clinical hypnotherapy is an effective approach for processing trauma and reducing PTSD symptoms. We use safe, gentle techniques including Timeline Therapy to help you process traumatic experiences without re-traumatisation.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you're seeking help with. Quit smoking and quit vaping are typically resolved in one session. Other concerns like anxiety, depression, or trauma may benefit from 2-4 sessions. Nikki will discuss this during your free initial consultation.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We offer secure video conferencing hypnotherapy sessions that are just as effective as in-person sessions. This means you can access professional hypnotherapy from the comfort of your home, anywhere in Australia.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session begins with a personal consultation where we discuss your specific situation and goals. Then you'll enter a comfortable, relaxed state of hypnosis while remaining fully aware. Most people describe it as deeply relaxing - like a mental spa treatment.
What are Nikki's qualifications?
Nikki is an IICT Qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Master NLP Practitioner, holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis, and is a Reiki Master. She has trained with The Australian Academy of Hypnosis, The Australian Success Academy, and The American Board of Hypnotherapy.
How much does it cost?
Quit smoking is $500 for one comprehensive session with 12 months of support. Quit vaping and cannabis are $400. General hypnotherapy (anxiety, trauma, etc.) starts at $250 for the first session and $200 thereafter. All prices are transparent with no hidden fees.
